If I were an employer, I would prefer to hire an inexperienced worker at a lower salary.

To beign with, originality brings vitality to the enterprise. A huge advantage of hiring inexperienced workers is that they sometimes come up with novel ideas which is valuable for the enterprise. On the other hand, an experienced worker is usually wired with a thinking pattern based on their past experience which makes it difficult for them to dispose presuppositions.  Hiring an experienced worker for my company is like pouring new water to a static pond, increasing the diversity in the company.

In addition, hiring inexperienced workers at a lower salary maintains a stable hierarchy in the company. Workers would become more experienced and thus given more salary and moved upward in the hierarchy. This can help company with financial balance since it is impossible to hire every workers at a high salary. Besides, salary can only be higher instead of lower as a worker stays longer and climbs up the hirearchy in the company. As a result, if I hired workers at a high salary, I would have to keep paying  more salary in the future.

Last but not least, if I were an employer, my goal is not only to make profits but also build my company a place for my workers to establish their career.  In my own case, I understand that young people are usually belong to the inexperienced category. Inexperienced as a undergraduate doesn't mean they have no worth. Instead, they just begin on their journey, and many of them are enthusiatic for a future of possibilities and challenges. They're willing to learn new things and modify the way they work.  Also, credibility not only derives from one's ability but also from mutual trust. An experienced worker might work in my company for the salary, but a inexperienced worker could have two motives. For one, he might work for a better salary, which means he or she has to prove him/herself with better performance. For another, he/she might be appreciated for the given chance, and thus work harder.  Hiring experienced workers might make more money in a short time, but hiring inexperienced workers will be investing in a chance and a person's life career.
