In twenty years there will be more cars in use than there are today.

The quatity of cars will increase instead of decrease in twenty years. In developing countries, with the improvement of nations’ economy, more people will be able to afford their own cars. In developed countries, the amount of cars will not plummet due to eco-friendly policy, but instead remain the same with the rise of electirc powered vehicles.

Firstly, the growing incomes per capita in developing countries will allow more people to buy luxury, such as car. China is the best example with the car sales figures rising in the nation with their growing economy, and now it becomes the largest market for top-class cars. India is another country having this potential since it’s the second populated country in the world, with around 13 hundred billions of people. Because the incomes per capital of China and India are still under ten thousand USD, the cars market in both countries are expected to have greater growth in twenty years.

Secondly, despite the eco-friendly trend in developed countries, cars still won’t be cast out in the next twenty years with the application of improved electric powering technology. Due to general concerns on environment issues in developed countries, many car companies have developing eletric powered cars in the hope of replacing petrol powered cars. Nowadays, in the initial phase, there are more hybrid cars on the road. In twenty years, with refined technology, the sales of electric cars is expected to grow. In short, even though the way powers cars will be different, the amount of cars in developed countries will remain about the same in twenty years.

In conclusion, growing economically-improved population will bring about more demand of cars in developing countries while the change of power type will keep the amount of cars remain about the same in developed countries. With the growing tendency of cars’ sales in developing countries and the stable quantity of cars’sales in developed countries, there will be more cars in the world than there are today.
